The McLusky family are power brokers tackling themes of systemic racism, corruption, and inequality in Kingstown, Michigan, where the business of incarceration is the only thriving industry.,
This was one of my best finds of 2021. Gritty violent and bloody. All the things you want in a bare-knuckle crime drama. Jeremy Renner is turning into one of my favorite actors recently with his work in the MCU and now this new series. He plays a tough ex-con working with his brothers to make the city run safer. He works the criminal side while his brothers work the legal side. Keeping the peace between the criminals on the streets and in the prison and the police and prison guards is a full-time job, and when the lines get crossed the Mayor of Kingstown must remind everyone who is in charge. This one is for a very mature audience. There is lots of swearing and violence that make it for a particular audience, but I am very much loving this show. The second season is just around the corner so you can get all caught up in time. Well worth a watch.
