SPOILERS BELOW!!!!!!!!

Ladies, gentlemen, and mutant fans of all ages, gather 'round. We’ve got a cinematic spectacle that promises more snark than you can shake a katana at and more slashes than a midnight horror marathon. Deadpool & Wolverine is here, and it’s like Christmas, your birthday, and a sarcastic apocalypse all rolled into one. Starring Ryan Reynolds as everyone’s favorite fourth-wall-breaking mercenary and Hugh Jackman reprising his role as the grumpy, adamantium-clawed mutant, this movie is a chaotic joyride from start to finish. So, buckle up, because we're diving deep into this insane crossover.

Plot (Or, How to Save the World with Reluctance and Snark)

Our story kicks off with a listless Wade Wilson (Ryan Reynolds), who's been trying to live a civilian life. Gone are the days of morally flexible mercenary work, but not for long. When an existential threat looms over his homeworld, Wade is forced to suit up once more. Enter Wolverine (Hugh Jackman), who’s even more reluctant to join the fray. Together, they form the most dysfunctional dynamic duo since peanut butter and pickles.

What I Liked (Or, The Reasons I Didn't Walk Out for More Popcorn)

This movie is a Marvel fan's dream. Cameos galore, and just when you think you've spotted them all, another one pops up. It’s like playing Where’s Waldo, but with superheroes.

Thankfully, they stuck with the R rating. This means lots of violence and gore—perfect for Deadpool’s style. No PG-13 watering down here, folks. It’s blood, guts, and glory.

Some of the costumes fans have been begging for finally make an appearance. It's like they raided the Marvel closet and pulled out all the goodies.

Deadpool vs. Wolverine Fight: This was everything fans wanted and more. It’s brutal, hilarious, and worth the price of admission alone.

The credits roll with some nostalgic footage that will make long-time fans grin from ear to ear. It’s a nice nod to the characters’ cinematic journeys.

Marvel gets another character like Loki—both hero and villain, depending on the day. This opens up so many possibilities for future storylines.

What I Disliked (Or, The Reasons I Might Have Considered Walking Out for More Popcorn)

The humor leaned a bit too heavily on the homosexual jokes for my taste. Deadpool’s humor is always edgy, but this felt overdone.

The plot was thin, held together mostly by action scenes and one-liners. It’s a lot of fighting and death, with not much else in between.

I get it, it’s Deadpool. But there’s a point where the swearing feels gratuitous. A little restraint would have gone a long way.

Ryan Reynolds’ religious jokes were a bit off-putting. Humor is subjective, but this didn’t sit well with me.

If you’re not caught up on all Marvel movies and TV shows, you might feel a bit lost. The movie assumes a lot of prior knowledge, which can be overwhelming for new viewers.

Extra Info (Or, The Stuff That Makes You Sound Like a Movie Insider)

Despite saying he was done with Wolverine after Logan (2017), Hugh Jackman returned because he "just wanted to do it" and felt it in his gut. He wanted to have the best possible time ever on a movie set with Ryan Reynolds. Bromance, anyone?

Ryan Reynolds and the filmmakers intentionally asked for a lower budget than Disney offered. They believed that the first Deadpool was a success because the constraints fostered creativity. And honestly, it shows.

Final Thoughts and Rating

Deadpool & Wolverine is a wild, fun ride. It’s got its flaws, but the sheer entertainment value and fan service make it worth watching. The dynamic between Reynolds and Jackman is electric, and the action scenes are top-notch. If you’re a Marvel fan, this is a must-see.

My final rating? 7.5/10. It’s a solid entry in the Marvel universe, and I can’t wait to see where they take these characters next.
